AIREFLEX™ Acoustic Material Solutions
Here are the AIREFLEX product range used in Automotive and HVAC applications. The information is expanded from the original specification table to provide clearer understanding for customers, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Automotive Application
AIREFLEX (AT) Series
The AIREFLEX (AT) series is designed specifically for automotive applications, particularly for sound insulation and interior components. These materials are optimized for thermoforming and vacuum forming processes, ensuring ease of processing and consistent quality.
Available Grades
The available grades under the Automotive series include AF (AT) 19T, AF (AT) 19VI, AF (AT) 19VX, and AF (AT) 19VP.
All Automotive grades have a specific gravity of approximately 1.9, providing a balanced combination of weight, stiffness, and acoustic performance.
In terms of processing, AF (AT) 19T is suitable for thermoforming, while AF (AT) 19VI, AF (AT) 19VX, and AF (AT) 19VP are designed for vacuum forming processes. This allows flexibility in manufacturing depending on equipment and product design.
For adhesion performance, most Automotive grades are compatible with glue and felt lamination. AF (AT) 19VP is specially designed to bond effectively with PU foam, making it suitable for applications requiring foam integration.
Regarding odor performance, AF (AT) 19T and AF (AT) 19VI exhibit normal smell characteristics, while AF (AT) 19VX and AF (AT) 19VP are engineered to be low-odor or odor-free, meeting stricter automotive interior requirements.
All Automotive AIREFLEX products comply with RoHS and REACH regulations, ensuring environmental and regulatory safety. The standard color for this series is black, and all grades demonstrate good foldability, which supports ease of handling and installation.

| AF (AT) 19VP | ~1.9 | Vacuum Forming | PU Foam Bonding + Glue/Felt Lamination | Low-odor / Odor-free | Designed for PU foam integration | RoHS & REACH | 1-4 mm | 1000 mm |
HVAC Application – AIREFLEX (HV) Series
The AIREFLEX (HV) series is developed for HVAC applications, particularly for acoustic insulation and vibration damping in air handling systems and ducting.
Available Grades
The HVAC series includes AF (HV) 15S, AF (HV) 18S, AF (HV) 20S, AF (HV) 23S, and AF (HV) 25S.
These grades cover a range of specific gravity from 1.5 to 2.5, allowing selection based on required density, acoustic performance, and mechanical strength.
All HVAC grades meet V2 flammability classification, making them suitable for HVAC safety standards. They are compatible with glue and felt adhesion systems, ensuring secure installation in HVAC assemblies.
The odor level for all HVAC grades is rated as normal, which is acceptable for non-cabin applications. All products comply with RoHS and REACH requirements.
The standard color for the HVAC series is black, and all grades offer good foldability, allowing easy handling, cutting, and installation during system assembly.
| Grade | Specific Gravity | Flammability | Adhesion / Lamination | Odor Performance | Compliance | Thickness Range | Width Range |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AF (HV) 15S | ~1.5 | V2 | Glue & Felt Adhesion | Normal | RoHS & REACH | 1-4 mm | 1000 mm |
